blatC.H. Skip Curtis, born and educated in Springfield, Missouri, has recently relocated to his hometown after living in St. Louis for the past thirty years, heading his own advertising and marketing company.
blatThe recently published book Birthplace of Route 66 - Springfield, Mo is the third in his series of books on Missouri’s history, people, and places. The first two are The Missouri US 66 Tour Book, and Why’d They Name It That? (A Look At Some “Peculiar” Missouri Towns).
blatA contributing writer to Route 66 Magazine, Skip is a past editor of Show Me Route 66, the magazine of the Route 66 Association of Missouri. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Association, serving as its historian.
blatSkip has been interviewed on numerous national and local television and radio programs, including Good Morning America, as well as various magazines and newspapers. He is an active member of the State Historical Society of Missouri, the Missouri Historical Society, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
